Eating Right for a Long Life

Do you want to live longer?

Sure, everyone does!

But did you know that you could actually increase your life expectancy by as much as almost seven years?

It’s easy; you just need to make sure your diet consists of the correct types of foods - low fat foods...

People have known for a long time that eating healthy, low fat foods, such as fish and vegetables, can increase your lifespan. In fact, new research shows that the effects of these foods are actually cumulative, and this is great news.

Here is a list of what I believe are the top low fat longevity foods:

salmon
almonds
red grapes
blueberries
garlic
spinach
and whole grains.

Notice that these foods have a very low fat content.

Many of these foods actually reduce blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and the risk of hear disease.

Salmon is low in fat, but high in the very beneficial omega acids, which can lower the risk of heart disease by more than thirty percent.

A study performed on the combined effects of these longevity foods showed that men lived nearly seven years longer, while women lived nearly five years longer than the average. The subjects also felt better and had healthy hearts.

This study, which appeared in the British Medical Journal, proves that by eating a healthy, low fat diet that is rich in nutrients, a person can live much longer naturally without the aid of heart medicines.

Fresh or Frozen Produce?

It’s okay if you don’t have time to steam your own fresh veggies, studies by the FDA and the University of Illinois show that frozen fruits and vegetables are "nearly" as nutritious because they can wait to be picked until they're at the peak of freshness.

Fresh produce is usually picked early, before it's ripe and fully nutritious, so that it ships well.

But if you’re lucky enough to grow your own fruits or vegetables, or you can buy straight from a farm – then that’s where you’ll find the most nutritious fruits and vegetables!!!

Healthy Drinks doesn't always mean its healthy..

Go back to regular coffee. Yes that caramel frap tastes great, but think about all the extra calories it’s packing, especially if you ask for whipped cream and caramel. Regular coffee with a little skim milk tastes just as good, has less calories, and is a lot cheaper. Spend your money on a good bag of coffee beans instead of using it to pay for extra syrup and caramel. In the end, you lose more calories, and spend less money.

Just because the juice box says it contains fruit, does not mean it’s healthy and good for you. Most average sized juice boxes contain more calories than are found in some soft drinks. Instead of drinking fruit juice, eat an apple, an orange, or a slice of watermelon. Not only are these fruits healthier for you, but they will also keep you full longer than a juice box will.

Healthy Foods everywhere..

Decide what you’re going to consume on the cleanse (this is a great time to get all the junk food cleaned out of your kitchen – give it away, throw it away, just get rid of it – but don’t get rid of it by eating it yourself!!!). After you’ve cleaned out your kitchen, you should stock it with healthy foods, and the only healthy foods you’ll be consuming on your cleanse are plain, fresh, clean water (preferably ‘distilled’ or ‘purified’ water), vegetable juices, and possibly some decaffeinated herbal tea (if you desire it).

The term “vegetable juice”, when used here, refers ONLY to juices that you juice yourself. So get yourself a vegetable juicer and a wide variety of fresh, raw, preferably organic vegetables. Then 2 or 3 times per day juice enough vegetables to fill a glass and drink it down (some people, including diabetics, find it beneficial to water down their juice with 50% water – this simply dilutes the sugar found in some vegetables).

You should add a small pinch of cayenne pepper to a few of your drinks throughout the day – this strengthens your blood, increases circulation, improves the assimilation of nutrients from the vegetable juices into your body, and helps your bowels eliminate the built up waste from your system (which gets rid of any constipation).

The Secret To Abundance in Every Area of Your Life…

I don’t believe that anybody can have a true abundance in ANY area of their life without first feeling immensely confident in themselves. And the main determining factor in any person’s confidence is how they feel about their physical being (or their body); and the shape and health of a person’s body is determined, to a large extent, by certain universal laws that absolutely must be followed each and every day.

Here’s an example of just one of those laws…I once heard it said that nearly 70% of all the energy a person uses during the course of a single day (70%) is used simply to digest the foods they eat. Therefore, if it takes 100 grams of energy (bear with me for using such basic terminology here) to digest each and every meal you eat during the day - but by improving the efficiency of your metabolism…we can get your body to digest each meal using only 50 grams of energy – then you could have nearly double the energy to put towards all your normal daily activities…

So if one of your main life goals is to make more money – would it beneficial to you if you had more “physical energy” to do the daily tasks necessary to build your financial streams, or what about all the added “mental energy” that you would have to put towards creatively designing new ways to handle all the daily challenges that every entrepreneur faces today.

Personally, I never had success in my life until I took control of my body. I remember feeling like a failure in everything I did, I remember not even wanting to go out of the house because I didn’t like the way I looked, in fact, I specifically remember not wanting to leave the house even to go to the store to buy food because I hated the way I looked in all of my clothes.

Today, I rarely think about the clothes I’m going to put on each day because I feel confident that no matter what I wear, my body will make those clothes look good. All clothes just hang better on a body that’s in shape. That means that guys who wear their shirts ‘untucked’ no longer HAVE to do that (unless they truly like that style) - and women who wear black because it’s ’slimming’ can now wear any color they like - because their BODY will make that color look good on them.

This is the way everyone should feel! When I finally took charge of my physique, everything in my life got better - my social life improved, my health improved, my family life improved, my spiritual life improved, and my financial life skyrocketed. I went from feeling like nobody noticed me, to being picked out in a crowd of people (the right people).

Here’s a horrible fact that I regularly speak about in my teleseminars and live events - In today’s society, without a nice body, people subconsciously make life a bit harder for you. You see it all the time. People who are in good shape almost always get treated differently by others.

Now I’m not saying that’s fair – it’s absolutely not - but it’s a fact of life, so why not take advantage of it?

You see, you can’t change the fact that most everybody else in the world seems to treat in-shape people better, but you can change the one person who really matters, and that’s you. You can make yourself as strong and healthy-looking as possible, making life easier for you and setting a good example for your family so that they can also live a more successful and healthy life.

In shape people climb the corporate ladder faster, they portrait more authority when they stand in front of their staff, they get more preferential treatment…and they have far more stamina to take on all the work that’s necessary in order to build a powerful company or business.

There’s 8 people in my inner circle of friends, all of which own businesses which gross from $5 million to $700 million annually - the bigger the business, the more focus that owner puts on staying in top shape.

Click here to learn how they did it

These people aren’t stupid, they don’t want to grow a huge company, then not be in good enough health to enjoy the rewards — and the secret that all of these folks have, is that being in good shape didn’t start when they became successful - it started way before that - and probably had a lot to do with their success.

Get Healthy using phytochemicals for immune health and weight loss...

When you were growing up your mom may have fought to get you to eat your vegetables. Or maybe you’re the parent fighting with your kids to eat the right foods. What many of us don’t know is that our food also fights for us.

My mother used to dress the dinner plate in full matching regalia; yellow squash nestled next to green asparagus. Red and yellow peppers tossed around the salad added spectacular color. Now dear mom knew these foods were healthy and she loved to decorate my plate with the colors of the season; but did she know that these wholesome foods contain phytochemicals?

Phytochemicals are the active substances in plants that give them their color, flavor, odor, and protection against plant diseases. Phytochemicals work as powerful antioxidants, which can increase our resistance to disease and boost immunity.

While most research focuses on the anti-carcinogen effects of phytochemicals, the results are equally important to those who just want to boost their immune system or help reverse the aging clock.

Scientists at the Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging (HNRC) rated 60 fruits and vegetables for potency of antioxidants, which stabilize cells and help fight the damaging effects of free radicals, which are molecules that weaken the immune system. Antioxidants can help keep cancer, heart disease and other degenerative conditions at bay.

The top scoring fruit in the HNRC study was blueberries followed by strawberries, prunes, black currants and boysenberries. The deeper the color, the better for you. Many of these antioxidants also have anti-inflammatory properties, and some naturally reduce blood cholesterol.

It’s important to fill your diet with all the colors of the food rainbow but it's so rare that anyone takes the time to consume enough of these foods to really have a positive impact on their health unless they use specific supplements.

A healthy diet like the one found in The Total Body Transformation consist of blues, reds, purples, oranges, yellows, and greens.

Interestingly, a number of questions have recently come to the National Metabolic and Longevity Research Center regarding past diets. People are curious to know if their past dieting habits were harmful.

To tell the truth, there are many harmful weight loss “solutions” out there, and when it comes to losing weight, people seem willing to try just about anything.

Here are a few questions that seem to keep cropping up:

Q: “I’ve been eating nothing but protein, thinking it’s the best way to lose weight. But now I’m afraid I might have done some irreversible damage to my body. Can I fix this?”
